We have had several urgent notifications from our supplier network on Thursday morning regarding the trading price of Gas in UK

The combination of Rough’s closure effecting end-of-curve Gas pricing, and the announcement this afternoon that Norway’s Kollsnes processing plant has extended their outage – effecting prompt pricing, means we are likely to see sharp lifts in pricing across the UK trading system.

Yesterday afternoon traders noted increases of approximately 4% on the price per therm for gas delivery in the next quarter, and with the outages in Norway due to last for several weeks, unless we source new Gas supply routes to the UK, the Norway outage may continue to upset trading for some time to come.

We will keep you updated as we hear more from our supplier partners
